Sort of interesting, particularly for the fact that the film is largely a pastiche of cinema verite clips of the kids in a castaway environment method acting from their surroundings.  With the exception of the actors who play Piggy and Jack there really is little to speak of in the department of acting.  The film is a curiosity, and despite some sound editing and acting problems director Brook does have a cinematic eye for the story that is as far as I can remember very close to the Golding novel.  I couldnt' help wondering what this film would have been like if Malick was at the helm, it seems right up his alley, although the story is a bit lightweight... he would have to reimagine it in some way... perhaps make the kids American to suit his interest in all things Americana.   --Mike
